Slaask is an online chat bubble that can be put on a website for visitors to ask questions, and the questions can go into an organization’s slack channel for them to answer.
Problem it tries to solve:
How do I quickly answer questions of people visiting my website?
A potential volunteer visits a campaign’s event site and asks how they can get involved in slaask; the organizer for that turf sees the message in slack and sets up a 1:1.
Managing all of the incoming questions in Slaask can be a full time job and require a dedicated staff member/volunteer to effectively respond to incoming questions. A chatbot can be placed in it but is not recommend for electoral purposes.
Does it sync to NGP VAN?
